Hero’s Journey

Announcing the Launch of Campbell Learn: A New Vision for Higher Education Marketing

By Joseph Lapin

This past November brought two monumental changes to my life—one personal, one professional. On November 1, my wife and I welcomed our daughter into the world, officially making me a “girl dad.” Taking time off to focus on family gave me the clarity to reflect on what matters most and inspired me to take a leap into a new professional chapter.

Today, I’m thrilled to officially announce the launch of Campbell Learn, a higher education consulting firm designed to reimagine the student journey through innovative marketing strategies and storytelling.

Campbell Learn was born from my passion for creativity and my commitment to helping higher education institutions thrive in a competitive, ever-changing landscape.

Why Now?

Higher education marketing is at a crossroads. Institutions are navigating rising acquisition costs, shrinking budgets, and the challenge of differentiating themselves in a crowded marketplace. During my time at Bisk, as Head of Marketing, and service as a partner at Circa Interactive, I tackled these challenges head-on. I learned the transformative power of bold storytelling and data-driven strategies to drive results.

At Campbell Learn, I’m bringing that expertise into focus with a singular mission: to empower institutions to connect with students on a deeper level and build their legacy through impactful, personalized storytelling.

What Campbell Learn Offers

I created Campbell Learn to solve some of the most pressing challenges in higher education marketing. Our approach is designed to:

  • Lower acquisition costs and drive enrollments through creative, data-driven strategies.
  • Humanize the student journey to foster deeper, more meaningful connections.
  • Stand out in a sea of sameness by crafting unique, story-driven campaigns.
  • Empower marketing teams with the tools and strategies needed to innovate and succeed.

Our philosophy is rooted in Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey. I believe every student is the hero of their story, and every institution is the mentor guiding them along their path. Campbell Learn leverages this framework to create emotional connections that inspire action.

Looking Ahead

The higher education landscape is evolving rapidly, with trends like AR, AI, and personalized learning shaping the way institutions connect with students. At Campbell Learn, we’re committed to staying ahead of these changes by embracing flexibility and championing student-centric strategies.

Launching this company alongside becoming a father of three has deepened my perspective on why I do this work. Just as I aim to leave a legacy for my family, I want Campbell Learn to help institutions build theirs—connecting with students in ways that transform lives and shape futures.

Let’s Build Something Remarkable Together

I’m excited about the journey ahead and the opportunity to collaborate with higher education institutions ready to evolve their marketing strategies.

Together, we can reimagine the student journey and create something truly remarkable.
